I want to show you how to locate the download folder and drag it onto your dock. That's the purpose of this video, so let's get started. Right on my desktop, you'll see I have Finder launched. If you don't know how to launch Finder, it's simply by going to your dock and clicking this icon right here, referred to as the Finder. It's going to appear in this box right here. On the left-hand side, you'll see "Download." You can either click on this download and simply hover over the line. Make sure you're on the right side of it, make sure there is a space, you're not hovering over the trash, and then let go.

I'm going to show you another method. You can simply go to the download folder and then hover over the word "download"; a folder will appear. You can click that and actually hover over the line, make sure there is a space, and let go. And of course, you can use Finder or Spotlight search. I knew it had a different name, and you can simply type "download" under the folder category. You can simply select that download and then again hover over the line and then wait till there's a space and then let go.

There's another method, of course, and that is by going to Go, scroll down, select Home, and then click on "Download," and then hover over the line, wait till there is a space, and then let go. Well, that is how you get it on the dock. But if you just give me a few minutes, I'm going to show you some cool settings. If you right-click on the download folder, you can actually make it look like a folder. But if you're a particular teacher who actually wants to see what's in the download folder, then you want to leave it to the default setting and select "stack."

If you changed it to a folder, there are also different ways on how to view the content within the folder. I'm going to let you experience those, but my favorite is the grid, and this is what it looks like. And the last setting I normally choose is the date added. This is a filtering section, and I do so because, well, now I know that my most recent file in the download folder will always appear on the upper left-hand side.

Well, that's the purpose of this video: how to get the download folder into your Dock, and that's exactly what we did. Thank you for watching!
